 San Gelato Café Franchising Group has developed a franchise system that focuses on creating aggressive, though sustainable, expansion through the partnership with qualified Regional Developers. San Gelato Regional Developers are awarded a territory which they develop and draw revenue from. As with most Regional Development programs, a San Gelato Regional developer draws revenue from store ownership, a portion of the Franchise fee (40%) by selling franchises in their territory and they also collect royalty income (3% Gross revenue) from each of these franchised stores that they help support.
San Gelato Regional Developers own and operate at least one 'show case' San Gelato Café along with a gelato and sorbet distribution center in the area. The Regional Developers café serves the franchisee as a local training facility and business development center focusing on a continuous increase in individual store profitability. The regional distributions center provides the franchisees specialty products including San Gelato's Sorbet, Gelato, branded dry goods, etc. This system ensures that the franchisee receives the most cost effective logistics solution for their cold storage and private labeled products while providing a substantial additional revenue stream to the Regional Developer. What sets the San Gelato Regional Developer program apart from others is that our Regional Developers are granted the rights to distribute GS Gelato Sorbet and Gelato to the SG Cafés and third parties within their territories. This provides San Gelato Regional Developers another potent revenue stream above and beyond what a typical franchise developer program offers. As another comparable advantage, this program also enables the regional developer to initiate revenue generation much sooner as the distribution center can start selling product to third parties while the Regional Developers first Café is still under construction.
